ホイットニー・ヒューストンが全財産を浪費し、
次のアルバムのギャラを前払いしてもらって生活をしていると報じられている。

コカイン中毒を乗り越えたホイットニーは、
契約しているレーベル会社アリスタの好意で支えてもらっていると、
ある関係者はレーダー・オンラインにコメント。
「ホイットニーの財産はもうありません。音楽業界の大御所と彼女のレーベルが
次のアルバムのギャラを前払いしてサポートしています。
でも、そのアルバムがいつ出るのかは未定。周囲の助けがなければ
ホームレスですよ」と言っている。

金銭的にはかなり厳しいらしく、わずかなお金さえも友達から借りている状態
らしい。
「誰かに電話をして100ドル（約7,600円）を借りたと聞いています。哀れです。
マライア・キャリーなみの金を持っていてもおかしくないのに、完全に破産状態
です」とのこと。

ホイットニーは2001年8月に、6枚のアルバムで1億ドル（約76億円）という
音楽史上最高額の契約をアリスタと結んだことで有名だが、この金もすべて
使ってしまったようだ。
